Review

This was a quick novella About Damian who an ex NFL star turn muti millionaire and Charity who is there to help Damian during a crisis situation and help his image. when a video is leaked lf Damian Charity is there to manage the situation and make sure Damian’s professional image doesn’t get tarnished. Damian and Charity both play a little cat and mouse with each other until eventually they both let go. it was a fast paced read easy to understand with clear writing. I want to thank the author for allowing me to read this and giving my own honest review.

Review

Just like the first book in the series I enjoyed reading this installment. I like how persistent Genevieve is when is comes to wanting to solve the case. In the second book a local horror author drops dead at his own book signing. Genevieve is determined to understand why and who may have done it. It was surprising to know who the real person was behind the murder. I still like when the book is set in the ice cream shop and whenever the puppy Butterscotch is talked about. It’s a fast paced cozy mystery that I love being back into. I would recommend this book to people who like or who just starting out reading cozy mysteries like myself.

Review

This was a good start to a new series. I do like how powerful this spellbook is and how one can control just about things with the right spells. While reading this I felt I had so much hate toward the boys’ parents because I couldn’t understand why they were treating him badly. But it makes sense, and it all has to do with that spellbook.
I want to continue on in this series and find out more about the boy and his journey with this spellbook and why it’s so important. This is my first book by this author is I actually enjoyed it. It was fast-paced yet left me wanting to continue on to the next story. I liked the authors writing as well. It was easy to follow and understand.

My 5 Reasons to read I Was Told There Would Be Romance By Marie Arnold



1. You follow a teen Haitian girl named Fancy, and you see how she doesn’t apated well to change. Any little change can affect everything for her. She is trying to nativage high school while trying to get invited to the popular girl’s birthday party, yet kind of stalking a boy she likes.

2. You can see the friendship between fancy and and Tilly. How fancy cares for Tilly but would risk her friendship over a small lie from telly just to not hurt fancy.

3. Fancy has strict haitian parents. She’s not allowed to date or wear outfits that aren’t approved. If Fancy doesn’t pick her grades up she can risk being  sent back to Haiti.

4. Even though boyfriends (fake boyfriends) have come between Fancy and Tilly, their friendship shows much stronger in the end.

5. The authors writing style I enjoyed. I liked the witty sarcastic voice of fancy. It was easy to relate to her and see how she deals with different situations.

Review:
Murder by Milkshake is a fast-paced, cozy mystery that follows high schooler Genevieve while she is in charge of her familys ice cream shop. A lot of werid things are  going on in her small town, such as her teachers showed up missing and dead. So Genevieve takes it upon herself to know what happened and why.

This was my  first time reading a cozy mystery. I always wanted to start reading them. I’m glad it was Murder by Milkshake. I do like that the ice shop was incorporated into the story a lot. I could actually see the setting and characters there having their conversations discussing who could have done it.

I also like the dog Butterscotch. Not only is it a cute name, Butterscotch is a cute dog in the story.

I now want to continue on in this series because it’s fun, fast-paced, and fits right into the fall time.
