Synopsis:
The first letter arrived the day my husband was buried. It was postmarked from the state penitentiary, and contained a single sentence:
Iβll wait forever if I have to.
It was signed by Dante, a man I didnβt know.
Out of simple curiosity, I wrote back to ask him what exactly he was waiting for. His reply?
You.
I told the mystery man he had the wrong girl. He said he didnβt. I said weβd never met, but he said I was wrong.
We went back and forth, exchanging letters every week that grew increasingly more intimate. Then one day, the letters stopped. When I found out why, it was already too late.
Dante was at my doorstep.
And nothing on earth could have prepared me for what happened next.

Review and my thoughts:
This dark romance story is about a woman named Kayla and she is trying to go on with life after her marriage ended. She is now living in her home that she once shared with her husband and all these weird things start to happen. Things that Kayla can’t make sense of. She starts getting mysterious letters post marked from prison and a guy she hired to work on home Aiden, she has started to fall for.
I would have to say I liked the paranormal aspect of the story and wanted a little more from it. But that’s where everything changed for me. Towards the end of the story it seemed so rushed and I honestly didn’t like how it ended. I was hoping for a better ending which is why I kept reading but the ending didn’t make much sense. Which is really disappointing.
I enjoyed the writing. As I pointed out the paranormal part of the story was actually fun to read and would had liked more from that. But overall this wasn’t my favorite just because how it all ended. Also I felt I was getting confused on some parts I had to go back in the book to re read a passage to fully understand what was happening towards the end.
It was very much interesting and different for what it was. Still not a favorite of mine. But I’ll still recommend it to others if they like a paranormal aspect to their dark romances.
