We Time By Moon Bey Book Review

Synopsis:

Lover, secretary, caretaker, kiss craver; Darryl has worked hard to be the kind of man women sing about in love songs. His friends have always warned him against treating chicks like wives without a ring. But to Darryl, his loyalty should be as intense as his love. He vows never to give his lady a reason to doubt him.

Things were no different when he got with Monae. Darryl became so obsessed with her potential that he ignored her using his kindness as a crutch. His friends quickly noticed Darryl’s forgiving heart gave Monae the security to do as she pleased. After all, she was always welcomed home with open arms.

Forced to spend more quality time as a couple than usual, Darryl faces truths he can no longer ignore and secrets Monae can no longer hide.

Will Darryl double down on his beliefs and continue to ride for Monae as one’s partner does? Can he manage to go against his nature and send Monae packing? Only a little we time will tell.

Book Review:

This was a different kind of story. Darryl I understand he is a sweet guy and cares for Monae but he is getting treated crap. Monae is wrong for being around other men and not even trying to hide it from Darryl.

Women like this make it hard for the good women out here. Monae plays too many games and she really doesn’t care how Darryl feels. Which is wild because she claims she still loves him.

Darryl is very weak it’s nothing nice about a weak man. He should had not tried as hard to keep Monae around instead just left her. The ending is what got me though. Darryl is not strong and he shouldn’t had took Monae back.

Rating: 3⭐⭐⭐

Over Time By Moon Bey | Book Review

Synopsis:
A wise man once said unrequited love is like cyanide in a styrofoam cup. For the first time in almost two decades, Natasha is ready to kick her most deep-rooted habit.

Natasha became infatuated with Arielle the second she learned what love was. Always eager to please, Natasha knew Arielle would have no choice but to become hers.

Review:

4 Stars

Over Time was something and it was so real too. This is about Natasha having feeling for Arielle, but Arielle seems take Natasha for granted and she seems like she doesn’t care. Arielle believes she can have her ass kissed by Natasha and Natasha will always be there.

Natasha is pretty much over being treated like trash and wants more from a friendship and relationship. I’m kinda salty with how Natasha handles situations. She hurt Grey to once again be with Arielle. It’s like it’s a game no one knows what they want.

Moon Bey doesn’t disappoint I enjoy her writing and she has become a favorite of mines. Great story.

What I actually Read for the Month of June | June 2020 Monthly Wrap Up

For the month of June, a lot was going on with the riots and protests of George Floyd and the racist statements I seen online by other people and companies that I honestly couldn’t focus on my June TBR. So I did read a couple of things but something is better than nothing. Hope you enjoy this month’s reading wrap up.

Christmas Connection (A Bridge Point Romance, #1)Christmas Connection by Daria White
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was such a sweet romance and it took place around my favorite time of year the Christmas season. This is Bailey and Jackson love story, they actually met on an online dating service. Bailey’s best and closest friend needed that push for Bailey to meet someone new and worth it.

Bailey also deals with a lot surrounding her dad and music. Bailey loves music and loves to sing but has always been scared to try it in public because of her strict mom.

Jackson had his fair ups and downs with relationships and before getting on the dating app he really wasnt going to try looking for love anymore. Jackson puts all he has into music he just wants whoever will be in his life to understand that.

Baily and Jackson made a great pair I enjoyed reading about them. This story was a very sweet romance that didnt have the traditional romance tropes which I enjoyed. This is also my first time reading from this author and I plan to read more and continue this series as well.

Synopsis: When the kids are away, Mom and Dad will play. But what happens when the kids have nowhere to go?

Like any other happily married couple, Taness and her husband Syvad arranged a romantic weekend getaway for their wedding anniversary. What they didn’t count on was their sitter becoming unavailable at the last minute. Determined not to let their intimacy take a back seat to their children, as usual, Taness proposes that the two of them create opportunities for passion whenever possible. Confident that his wife is getting her hopes up, Syvad is reluctant to play along.

Can these parents celebrate their love while stuck at home, tending to their kid’s constant needs? Will they make time to do what grown folks do?

“Making Time” is a novelette. Shorter than a novella, as sweet as a short story, and spicy all around.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Basically when you have kids and are married trying to make time for each other can be hard and tricky. Syvad and Tee are a loving married couple with 3 children trying to have time for themselves to rekindle their love while still parenting.

This was a sexy erotic story and I loved how well it was written. The author made every scene and every detail real to the mind.

My only gripe is that I want this to be a little longer. But it was a great story exactly what I needed to read especially now since we are still in quarantine this was perfect. I will be reading much more from Moon Bey.

Synopsis: I needed relief. With so much going on in the world, we found each other. Two black men in pain emotionally, needing the balm of physical touch and pure intimacy to soothe our aches. Too bad, everything between us had to be done on the low. He’s my little big secret.

Boo'd UpBoo’d Up by Pierre Johnson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Boo’d up is not your everyday lgbtq+ erotica. This was a ride …lol. Now this story isn’t going to be for everyone you definitely have to be open minded to a lot of things or you just won’t enjoy the story.

The author takes the MC and side character and basically makes them confess the fact they like each other but during sexually activities. I found this story to be interesting and straight to the point and the sex scenes were written very well.

I’ve never read gay erotica like this before but this author definitely made me want to look into the genre more and check more of his work out. I loved this and I can see myself re reading this too, super hot!

He loved every bit of it, but how will he react when he wakes up from the high?

Hennything: Blame it on the AlcoholHennything: Blame it on the Alcohol by Pierre Johnson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As an adult I think a lot of people have been in situations were alcohol and or marijuana has made them do crazy things. But Greg this just made him explore a side of himself he always wanted to explore.

Greg wants to try something new but swears he’s not gay just wants to explore another side of himself. He then finds Ray Ray at the infamous park where the “boys” be at and he wanted to try his luck.

Ray Ray basically turned Greg out!…lol but can Greg really blame it on the alcohol and weed? I don’t think so, I believe Greg wanted this sexcapade more than anything.

The author is amazing with bringing realistic scenes to life. It kind of makes the reader feel like their in the room with the characters.

I had fun reading this! 2 books down by this author that I enjoyed so far and I plan to pick up more!!
